What We Do

Full-service metal recycling for every scale

Whether you're a homeowner clearing out the garage or a contractor managing a demolition site, we handle it all with fair pricing and fast turnaround.

Ferrous Metals

Iron, steel, cast iron, and other magnetic metals. We accept everything from rebar and structural steel to appliances and automotive parts.

Non-Ferrous Metals

Aluminum, copper, brass, stainless steel, and lead. These metals command higher prices — and we pay competitive rates based on current market value.

Industrial & Commercial

Construction debris, manufacturing scrap, and bulk industrial materials. We offer scheduled pickups and volume pricing for ongoing operations.

Same-Day Payment

No waiting weeks for your money. We weigh your materials on-site and pay you the same day — by cash or check, whichever you prefer.

Demolition & Cleanup

Large-scale metal removal from demolition sites, renovation projects, and property cleanouts. We handle the heavy lifting so you don't have to.

Consultation & Guidance

Not sure what you have or how it's priced? Our experienced team will identify your materials, sort them properly, and explain exactly what you'll earn.

About Us

A cornerstone of Suffolk's recycling community

Empire Metal Recycling has been a trusted name in the Hampton Roads area for over two decades. What started as a small yard serving local contractors has grown into one of the region's most reliable metal recycling operations.

Our commitment is simple: fair weights, honest pricing, and a clean facility. We invest in modern equipment and trained staff so every load — whether a single car door or a shipping container full of structural steel — gets the same careful handling.
